Two Days in Guwahati, the Gateway to Northeast India

  1. Day 1: Kamakhya Temple

    Afternoon: Head over to the Umananda Temple, located on the Peacock Island on the Brahmaputra river. The island can be reached by ferry and offers a picturesque view of the surroundings. The temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva and is one of the holiest places for Hindus in Northeast India.

    Evening: End the day with a visit to the Guwahati Planetarium, which offers a unique experience of stargazing and learning about the universe. The planetarium also has a science museum with interactive exhibits and a 3D theatre.
