Bengaluru & Mysore Nature Itinerary

  1. Day 1: Lalbagh Botanical Garden
    Approximately 10 km (6.2 miles) from Bengaluru City Center

    In the morning, stroll through the beautiful botanical gardens, home to over 1,800 species of plants and trees. Enjoy a peaceful picnic in the serene surroundings. In the afternoon, visit Bannerghatta Biological Park- an expansive nature reserve that is home to tigers, lions, elephants, and various bird species. For the evening, explore Nandi Hills, where you can watch the sunset over the rolling hills and enjoy a refreshing cup of tea from the local shops.

  2. Day 2: Bandipur National Park
    Approximately 220 km (137 miles) from Bengaluru

    In the morning, take a scenic drive to Bandipur National Park, a beautiful wildlife reserve that is home to numerous endangered animals like tigers, leopards, and Indian elephants. Enjoy the fresh air and take a safari ride to see the wildlife up close. In the afternoon, visit the nearby Mudumalai Wildlife Sanctuary and National Park, which is home to more than 200 species of birds and animals. If you have time, take a trip to Mysore Palace, one of the most beautiful royal palaces in the world for the evening.

Recommendations:

If you have more time in Mysore, visit Brindavan Gardens which are famous for its musical fountain show in the evening. You can also consider visiting Coorg, which is about 120 km (75 miles) from Mysore, known as the Scotland of India, for its beautiful coffee plantations and waterfalls. For adventure lovers, try river rafting, trekking or rock climbing in nearby hills.
