2-Day Honeymoon Itinerary for Coorg and Mysore in June 2023

  1. Day 1: Coorg
    Approx. 4 hours (150 km) from Bangalore International Airport
    10:00 AM - Visit Abbey Falls

    Begin your day with a refreshing visit to the picturesque Abbey Falls, nestled amidst the lush green coffee plantations of Coorg. Enjoy the pleasant atmosphere and the soothing sound of water cascading down the rocks. You can take a short trek to the falls or just enjoy the view from the bridge. Be sure to carry comfortable shoes and a raincoat/umbrella as the area tends to get muddy.

    1:00 PM - Lunch at Raintree Restaurant

    Head over to Raintree restaurant for a delicious lunch. This restaurant offers a serene ambiance, set amidst an enchanting coffee estate. Relish the traditional Coorgi cuisine and sip on some freshly brewed coffee.

    3:00 PM - Visit Dubare Elephant Camp

    After lunch, proceed to Dubare Elephant Camp. Here, you can get up close and personal with the majestic giants of the forest. Take a guided tour to learn about their daily routine and feeding habits. You can even indulge in a fun elephant ride or take a coracle ride down the river Cauvery.

    6:00 PM - Coorg Sunset Viewpoint

    Unwind your day with a visit to Coorg Sunset Viewpoint, also known as Raja's Seat. Enjoy the panoramic view of the hills and the sunset. The garden surrounding the viewpoint is well-maintained and beautiful. You can also witness a musical fountain show in the garden.

  2. Day 2: Mysore
    Approx. 2 hours 30 minutes (120 km) from Coorg
    9:00 AM - Visit Mysore Palace

    Begin your day with a visit to the grand Mysore Palace, the official residence of the Wadiyars, the royal family of Mysore. Marvel at the breathtaking architecture and intricate craftsmanship of the palace. The palace also has a light and sound show in the evening, which is a must-see.

    12:00 PM - Lunch at RRR Restaurant

    After the palace visit, head over to RRR restaurant for lunch. This restaurant serves a wide range of cuisines and has a lovely ambience, perfect for a romantic lunch.

    2:00 PM - Visit Brindavan Gardens

    6:00 PM - Mysore Zoo

Other attractions worth visiting in Coorg are Talacauvery, the birthplace of River Cauvery and Nisargadhama, a beautiful island surrounded by bamboo groves.
