5-Day Itinerary for Andaman Island in February 2024

  1. Day 1: Cellular Jail
    10 minutes (2.5 km) from Port Blair

    Start your morning at the historic Cellular Jail, also known as Kala Pani. This colonial-era prison was used to exile political prisoners to the faraway Andaman Islands. In the afternoon, head to Corbyn's Cove Beach to enjoy some sun and sand. In the evening, attend the Light and Sound Show at Cellular Jail, which narrates the story of the Indian freedom struggle.

  2. Day 2: Ross Island and North Bay Island
    30 minutes (12 km) from Port Blair

    Take a ferry to Ross Island, which was the administrative headquarters of the British in the Andaman Islands. Visit the ruins of the church, swimming pool, and bakery. After lunch, head to North Bay Island for some snorkeling and scuba diving. In the evening, return to Port Blair and visit the Aberdeen Bazaar to shop for souvenirs.

  3. Day 3: Mahatma Gandhi Marine National Park and Chidiya Tapu
    45 minutes (30 km) from Port Blair

    Start your day at the Mahatma Gandhi Marine National Park, which is home to a variety of marine life, including coral reefs, turtles, and fish. Go on a glass-bottom boat tour or enjoy some snorkeling. In the afternoon, head to Chidiya Tapu, which is a birdwatcher's paradise.   4. Day 4: Baratang Island and Limestone Caves

  5. Day 5: Mount Harriet and Madhuban

    Start your day at Mount Harriet, which is the third-highest peak in the Andaman Islands. Enjoy a scenic trek to the summit and take in the panoramic views of the islands. Recommendations

If you have some extra time, consider visiting the Radhanagar Beach or the Elephant Beach on Havelock Island, which are known for their pristine beauty. You can also go on a day trip to the Barren Island, which is home to the only active volcano in South Asia.
