Exploring nature: Pune to Raygad in 2 days

  1. Day 1: Sinhagad Fort

    Start the day early and drive to Raigad Fort, located atop a hill. The fort was the capital of the Maratha Empire under Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj's rule. The fort offers a breathtaking view of the Sahyadri Mountains and houses several ancient buildings such as the Queen's chambers, the public durbar, and the royal baths. After lunch, visit the Mahad Ganapati Temple, located about an hour's drive from the fort. The temple is dedicated to Lord Ganesha and is one of the eight Ashtavinayak temples in Maharashtra. Spend the evening at Varandha Ghat, located about 30 minutes from Mahad Ganapati Temple, offering beautiful views of the valley.
