For lunch, try the traditional Portuguese-style fish curry or pork vindaloo at one of the local restaurants. In the afternoon, visit the Museum of Christian Art and the Archaeological Museum or take a walk around the picturesque old town with its narrow streets, colorful houses, and quaint shops. In the evening, catch a sunset at the nearby Miramar Beach and enjoy some Goan nightlife.

  4. Day 4: Spice Plantations
1 hour 15 minutes (43 km) from Old Goa

Experience the sights, smells, and tastes of Goa by visiting one of its many spice plantations. In the morning, take a tour of the plantation, where you can see and learn about various spices, fruits, and vegetables grown in Goa, such as cardamom, cinnamon, vanilla, and nutmeg. For lunch, savor the delicious Goan cuisine, such as prawn curry, chicken xacuti, or sorpotel, prepared with fresh spices and herbs. In the afternoon, take a dip in the nearby waterfall or enjoy a relaxing Ayurvedic massage. In the evening, return to your hotel and unwind before your departure.

Recommendations

If you have more time, consider visiting the beaches of Anjuna, Vagator, or Palolem, or taking a day trip to the Cotigao Wildlife Sanctuary, the Salim Ali Bird Sanctuary, or the Divar Island. For adventure enthusiasts, there are options for scuba diving, snorkeling, kayaking, or white water rafting. To maximize your fun, try to avoid the monsoon season from June to September, when the weather can be unpredictable and many places are closed.
