Discovering Pittsburgh with National Aviary

  1. Day 1: Strip District and Andy Warhol Museum
    10 minutes (2.5 miles) from Pittsburgh International Airport

    Explore the unique food shops, specialty stores, and street vendors in the Strip District. You can find everything from local and fresh ingredients to international spices and groceries. Afterward, head to the contemporary art museum dedicated to the life and work of Pittsburgh-native, Andy Warhol. You can see his iconic silk screen prints, explore his life, and enjoy the works of other modern artists.

  2. Day 2: National Aviary, Pittsburgh Zoo & PPG Aquarium
    6 minutes (1.3 miles) from Andy Warhol Museum

    Visit the National Aviary, home to more than 500 species of birds from around the world in immersive exhibits, free-flying spaces and up-close encounters. After a few hours at the Aviary, visit the Pittsburgh Zoo which houses over 4000 animals, including 20 threatened or endangered species.In conjunction with the zoo, the PPG Aquarium showcases nearly 4000 marine animals across 45 tanks with colorful coral reefs, sea turtle exhibits and a 3-story shark tank.

  3. Day 3: Mt. Washington and Duquesne Incline

    Enjoy spectacular views of Pittsburgh from the top of Mt. Washington, overlooking the rivers and downtown. After, ride the historic Duquesne Incline to Station Square, one of Pittsburgh's top shopping and dining destinations filled with boutiques, restaurants, and attractions including the Gateway Clipper Fleet boat tour.
