Kick start your Gili Trawangan adventure at the picturesque Coral Beach, where the clear turquoise waters reveal diverse marine life. You can rent a snorkel and fins from nearby vendors or book a guided snorkelling tour to reach popular diving spots like Shark Point and Manta Point. Be amazed by the remarkable coral formations and come face to face with reef sharks, sea turtles, and a myriad of colourful fishes.
Take a scenic hike to Sunset Point, located northwest of the island, for a stunning view of the sun setting over Bali's Mount Agung. The trail is well marked and can be accessed from the Trawangan main road. Pack some food and drinks and get ready to snap amazing photos of the island's coastline and turquoise waters. The hike takes around 20 minutes and is relatively easy, but make sure to wear proper shoes.
Spend your third day learning how to surf at one of the island’s surf schools located on the west coast, which offers all levels of lessons. Enjoy the water and try to catch some waves with the guidance of experienced instructors, in a safe environment. After a few hours of serious wave action, unwind and relax with a cocktail at one of the beach bars.
Take a boat trip from Gili Trawangan to Gili Meno, the smallest of the three Gili Islands, and enjoy kayaking and stand-up paddleboarding at the western part of the island. This is the perfect spot for water sports enthusiasts, with shallow crystal clear waters and a beautiful view of the adjacent Gili Air and Trawangan Islands. After a full day of fun and adventure, retire back to your cozy accommodation for some well-earned rest.
For travellers with more time, explore the underwater world further with a Scuba diving session at Trawangan renowned reef sites. If you have less time, you can limit your Gili Trawangan itinerary to three days by combining surfing lessons with a beach party at Gili T’s popular bars, such as Sama Sama Reggae Bar.
