The Imperial Palace or Kōkyo was once the seat of the Japanese Emperor. Surrounded by a beautiful park, it is a must-visit destination in Tokyo. As Japan's largest wholesale fish and seafood market, Tsukiji has been a tourist attraction for many years. The outer market sells a vast range of Japanese cuisine, while the inner market sells over two thousand tons of fish daily. The Tuna auction at Tsukiji Market is a popular event among tourists that takes place early in the morning. Pre-registering for the auction is a must. Visitors can also get a taste of some high-quality sushi at the many sushi restaurants in and around Tsukiji.
At over 634 meters high, Tokyo Skytree is the tallest tower in the world. It has observation decks on the 350th and 450th floors, providing a breathtaking panoramic view of Tokyo. In addition to the observation decks, Tokyo Skytree has a shopping mall with more than 300 shops and restaurants selling various products, souvenirs, and local specialties. The tower is open until 9 pm for late-night shopping and dining.
