Next, head to Nainital and visit the Naini Lake (boating is available), the Mall Road and the Snow View Point for a panoramic view of the surrounding hills. Do try the Nainital Momos, and Tibetan cuisine in local cafes and restaurants.
Drive down to Almora, a beautiful hill station dotted with old temples, stone buildings and cobbled streets. Visit the Katarmal Sun Temple, an ancient temple built in the 9th century. After lunch, visit the Bright End Corner, a sunset point offering breathtaking views of the Himalayas. Do try the bal mithai, a local sweetmeat made with milk and jaggery.
For those with extra time, a visit to Jim Corbett National Park or Mukteshwar temple can be an add-on. Furthermore, if you are traveling with children, then they will absolutely love Nainital Adventure Park.
If you have less time in hand, then skip the trip to Almora and visit the Corbett National Park instead. Those who prefer a quieter vacation can spend an additional day in Kainchi Dham exploring its deep spiritual spaces.
