Begin your first day by heading to Old Town Scottsdale. Stroll through the Scottsdale Historical Museum or Western Spirit: Scottsdale's Museum of the West to learn about the city's roots, from Native American artefacts to the cowboy culture. Dedicate an hour or two to shopping for souvenirs, vintage clothing, and jewellery in the boutiques lined along Main Street. Make dinner reservations at The Mission to savour Latin-American cuisine with a trendy ambiance.
For the second day, unleash your group's inner cowboy by engaging in a shooting experience at the Scottsdale Gun Club. Learn to safely shoot handguns, rifles, or even machine guns with the supervision of a trained instructor. Afterwards, sample a flight of craft beers on the Arizona Brewery Tour that takes you to a few of the best local breweries in the area, such as O.H.S.O. Distillery, Huss Brewing, and Beer Research Institute.
For a relaxing morning, head to the luxurious Joya Spa situated in Paradise Valley. Enjoy the 60-minute men's facial or spa pedicure. Have lunch at the spa or try Fogo de Chão Brazilian Steakhouse if you crave meat dishes. In the afternoon, change the pace by heading to the TPC Scottsdale, a golf course that hosts the Phoenix Open tournament. You can book a tee time on the Stadium or Champions courses, where you can challenge each other or relax taking in the stunning views before dinner.
On the last day, start early and take a scenic drive to the Camelback Mountain, one of the most breathtaking spots for hiking in the Phoenix area. Don't forget to carry enough water, and follow one of the two main trails --the Cholla Trail or the Echo Canyon Trail-- to reach the summit. Return to the hotel or Airbnb to freshen up and then prepare for the last party night. Go bar hopping on the stylish Scottsdale Road, where nightclubs like the Maya Dayclub and the Bottled Blonde offer live music, DJs, and drinks until late.
For an extra day, visit the Butterfly Wonderland, a butterfly conservatory where you can observe live butterflies from all over the world. Alternatively, schedule a guided ATV tour with Arizona Outdoor Fun to explore the Sonoran Desert. If you have less time, consider cutting a golfing outing or the spa day. Save money by skipping the museum entrance fees and opt for affordable meals like street tacos or pizza slice from The Stand in Old Town Scottsdale.
