Begin the tour by visiting one of the most iconic landmarks in Rome, Colosseum. You can take a scenic walk from the Colosseum, through the Roman Forum to the Pantheon discovering historical ruins and architectural interest points. The Pantheon is a must-visit site, and its open-air sunlight is stunning. The Piazza Navona is a great place to eat, talk and people-watch.
Start your day at the Vatican City, with the renowned Vatican Museums, home of exquisite artwork like Raphael’s Rooms, the Sistine Chapel, and St. Peter's Basilica, the Mama of churches throughout the world. After that, you can enjoy lunch at a nearby restaurant, followed by a walk through the winding streets of Trastevere and finish the night with one of Rome’s ultimate local activities, an aperitivo at a rooftop bar.
Take a walking tour of Galleria Borghese, which showcases the beauty of Baroque art and sculptures, a 'must-do' for art enthusiasts. A famous spot for dinner is the Monti neighbourhood, where you can walk the cobbled streets and find numerous restaurants, pizzerias and pubs, perfect for an evening stroll. The tour isn't complete without stopping at the famous Trevi Fountain, which is beautifully lit up at night.
If you have more time, you could take a day trip and discover the remains of the Ostia Antica, enjoying the sandy beach of Ostia Lido or visiting the incredible Catacombs of San Callisto. If you have less time, we recommend combining Vatican City and the Colosseum & Roman Forum tour into one day, so you can complete the itinerary in two days.
