Explore the Marjan Forest Park, which is a nature reserve, and one of the top Split attractions. Enjoy the astonishing views of the sea and the islands around Split as you hike or cycle through the park. You'll find lots of beaches, scenic walking paths, and bird watching opportunities. Climb up the hill to the telecommunication tower, which built-in 1961, from where you can see panoramic views over Split Old Town, the harbor and islands.
Take a day trip to the magnificent Krka National Park, famous for its spectacular waterfalls, including the Skradinski Buk Falls, a natural pool with crystal-clear water where you can take a dip. You can explore the park by foot or by boat. Check out the bridges, and mills that were once used to produce wheat and cotton. The Park is open from 8:30 AM - 7 PM daily.
Drive to the magnificent Biokovo Nature Park and admire the breathtaking high picnics, which offer stunning panoramic views of the Adriatic sea and neighboring islands. Good mark trails lead to the top of the mountain range, where you can get a glimpse of the Mediterranean sea. This Park has beautiful herbs, flowers, and animals that you can't find anywhere else in the world like the Biokovo butterfly, which is native to this park.
If you have more time, head to Blue Cave on Biševo Island, a famous natural formation known for its luminous blue water. Or explore the ancient Roman city of Salona, which is a fantastic historical sight near Split. If you are looking for adventure, try rafting in Cetina Canyon.
