Start your sightseeing at the Bangalore Palace which evokes memories of the British era with its stunning architecture. This palace boasts of huge halls, elegant wood carvings, floral motifs, and Gothic windows. With a small entrance fee, you can visit the Durbar Hall, the Main Palace, and the collonaded ballroom which keep its old-world charm.
Take a stroll through the Lalbagh Botanical Gardens, which is one of the top-rated parks in Asia. It is home to over 1,000 species of plants and also hosts a flower show every year on the country's Independence Day. Make sure to visit the Glass House, the centrepiece of the garden, inspired by London's Crystal Palace.
Head to the ISKCON Temple Bangalore, a haven of peace and serenity in the middle of the bustling city. This temple is one of the largest ISKCON temples in the world and includes a stunning Radha Krishna temple which is incredibly beautiful to witness.
On your second day, head to the beautiful Nandi Hills, located on the outskirts of Bangalore. Enjoy trekking up the hill, capturing breathtaking views, and the fresh air of the hills. You can also visit the ancient Nandi Temple, known for its intricate carvings and ancient history.
Visit the Bhoganandishwara Temple, located at the base of the Nandi Hills, known for its Dravidian styled architecture and the ornate carvings on its pillars. The temple complex is built on a rock surface and consists of three main temples, Arkeshwara Temple, Bhoganandishwara Temple and a small Venugopala Swamy Temple situated nearby.
Start your day with a 2-3 hour trek to the Skandagiri Hills. Trekkers can test their stamina while admiring the beautiful scenery at dawn, it is especially picturesque to witness the sunrise over the clouds. Enjoy the beautiful panoramic views of nature from the hilltop, a perfect way to unwind from the city's fast pace.
End your trip with a visit to the Sri Someshwara Swamy Temple in Chikkaballapur. Located at the heart of the town, this temple is an excellent example of Dravidian Architecture and is dedicated to Lord Shiva; also visit nearby Nandi Temple which sits atop a hill offering panoramic views.
If you have more time, you can add Visvesvaraya Industrial and Technological Museum and Bangalore Fort to Day 1, and Hogenakkal Waterfalls or Devanahalli Fort to Day 2. If you have less time, you can skip the Lalbagh Botanical Gardens or visit Tipu Sultan's Palace instead of Bangalore Palace.
