  1. Day 1: Explore Pune
    10 minutes (2.3 km) from Pune Railway Station

    Start your day with a visit to the Shaniwar Wada Palace, a fortification that belonged to the Peshwa rulers and later destroyed by fire in 1827. Afterward, proceed to The Aga Khan Palace, known as the home to Mahatma Gandhi during Indian Independence and see the memorials of Kasturba Gandhi and Mahadev Desai.

    You can then visit the Raja Dinkar Kelkar Museum to discover one of the largest collections of Indian art, crafts, and musical instruments. To end your day, head towards Chaturshringi Temple, a temple nestled within a mountain, and enjoy the view from the top.

  2. Day 2: Adventure Day in Pune
    25 minutes (15.3 km) from Pune Railway Station

    Head to Sinhagad Fort, also known as the Lion's Fort, and hike to the top. From there, you can see a spectacular view of the Western Ghats and Pune city. Afterward, proceed to Pawna Lake for a picnic or a bonfire party by the lake.

If you have more time, visit the Dagadusheth Halwai Ganpati Temple, a temple dedicated to Lord Ganesha. If you have kids with you, head to the Pune Okayama Friendship Garden, a Japanese-style garden. You can also take a day trip to Lohagad Fort, a hill fort with ancient rock-cut caves and temples. If you have less time but still want adventure, go for a trek or a bike ride in Panshet Dam.
