Starting off the trip with a bang, Talakona Waterfall is the highest waterfall in Andhra Pradesh. Enjoy a picnic surrounded by lush forests or take a dip in the refreshing waters. Make sure to wear comfortable shoes and bring a change of clothes!
Spend the day exploring one of the oldest national parks in India. With over 100 species of birds and various animals like sambars, spotted deer, and Indian porcupines, there's plenty to see. Don't forget to bring sunscreen and insect repellent!
One of the most famous temples in South India, the Srikalahasti Temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva and is said to be one of the Pancha Bhoota Stalams (five major Shiva temples). The intricate carvings and architecture are a must-see. Remember to dress modestly and remove your shoes before entering the temple.
The Kanipakam Temple is known for its unique idol of Lord Ganesha with a trunk that turns to the right. The temple dates back to the 11th century and is a popular pilgrimage site. Don't miss the ancient well inside the temple which is believed to have medicinal properties.
Cap off the trip with a visit to Shilparamam, a traditional arts and crafts village. Stroll through the open-air market and watch artisans at work. There are also cultural shows and exhibitions on the weekends. Souvenirs here are unique and make for great gifts.
If you have extra time, consider visiting Tirupati Balaji Temple or Chandragiri Fort. If you have less time, skip Kanipakam Temple and head straight to Shilparamam. Keep in mind that monsoon season (July-August) can make trekking and visiting waterfalls dangerous. Always check the opening and closing times of attractions before planning your itinerary.
