Gir Junagadh Bachelor Party Itinerary

  1. Day 1: Visit the Gir National Park and Wildlife Sanctuary
    30 minutes (19.4 km) from Junagadh

    Spend the morning discovering the spectacular wildlife at the Gir National Park and Wildlife Sanctuary. The park is known for its rare Asiatic lions and other endangered species like leopards, bears, and crocodiles. Go for a guided Jeep or walking safari tour of the sanctuary. With an extensive network of roads in the core tourism zone, the safari can cover up to 35 km in about 4 to 5 hours. Don't forget to take your camera for some excellent wildlife photography.

  2. Day 1: Visit the Uparkot Fort and Mahabat Maqbara

    After a thrilling day at the sanctuary, visit the ancient Uparkot Fort built around 250 BC. The fort has seven gates, huge water tanks, and several ancient temples and inscriptions. From the Uparkot Fort, head towards the Mahabat Maqbara, also known as the "Taj Mahal of Junagadh." This impressive mausoleum was built in 1892 in the Indo-Islamic architectural style and is a testament to the Nawabs of Junagadh's power.

    After visiting the zoo, head towards the ancient Uperkot Caves, a complex of 20 Buddhist caves built approximately 2,000 years ago and believed to be residence centers of the Buddhist monks. The caves feature unique architecture, intricate carvings on pillars, walls, and domes. Spend the evening discovering the Junagadh Buddhist Cave Groups, a group of caves that represent Buddhist rock-cut architecture from the 3rd century BC to the 4th century AD. The caves contain several stone sculptures representing Buddha and the Bodhisattva and are a sight to behold.

  6. Day 2: Party at the Zanzari Waterfalls
    10 minutes (4.6 km) from Uperkot Caves and Junagadh Buddhist Cave Groups
