Start your day early and head out to Mullayanagiri Peak, the highest peak in Karnataka. The trek to the peak is relatively easy and offers stunning views of the surrounding hills and valleys. The peak is covered with lush green forests and is perfect for a leisurely trek. Spend a few hours exploring the area and enjoying the views before heading back to Kalasa for lunch.
Spend a day in the lap of nature at Kudremukh National Park. The park is known for its beautiful waterfalls, trekking trails, and rich flora and fauna. Take a guided trek through the park to explore the beautiful landscapes and see animals like the barking deer and sambar deer in their natural habitat. Make sure to carry plenty of water and snacks and dress appropriately for the weather.
On your last day, head out to the Bhadra Wildlife Sanctuary to enjoy a safari through the dense jungle and spot rare animals like tigers, leopards, and Indian giant squirrels. The sanctuary is home to over 300 species of birds and is a paradise for bird watchers. The flora and fauna of the sanctuary are truly unique and the safari is an experience you won't forget.
If you have more time, you can visit the coffee plantations near Kalasa or explore the ancient temples and cultural sites in the area. If you have less time, you can skip Kudremukh National Park and spend more time at Mullayanagiri Peak and Bhadra Wildlife Sanctuary. Make sure to carry appropriate clothing and footwear for trekking and safaris. Always carry water, snacks, and insect repellent with you during outdoor activities.
