Start your day with a visit to the Sim's Park, which boasts of a collection of over 1000 plant species from all over the world. This park is a delight for botany enthusiasts and nature lovers. After spending a few hours exploring the park, head to the Lamb's Rock Viewpoint, which offers panoramic views of the Coimbatore Plains, tea estates, and the Catherine Falls. Enjoy a cup of tea and snacks at the local stalls before returning to your hotel.
Head to the Dolphin's Nose viewpoint, which offers a stunning bird's eye view of the Nilgiri Mountain range. This viewpoint is named after its shape, which looks like a dolphin's nose. After soaking in the views, drive to the Catherine Falls to enjoy the waterfall cascade and its misty spray. You can take a dip in the pool at the base of the falls or enjoy snacks at the local stalls.
Visit the Wellington Gymkhana Club to enjoy a game of golf, tennis, or billiards. The club also has a small bar and restaurant where you can enjoy a drink or a meal. After that, take a trek to the Droog Fort, which is believed to have been built by Tipu Sultan's army. The trek offers stunning views of the Nilgiris and takes about 2 hours to complete. Once you reach the fort, explore the ruins and enjoy a picnic lunch before heading back.
If you have more time, you can explore other places such as the Highfield Tea Factory, Ralliah Dam, or take the Nilgiri Mountain Railway toy train from Coonoor to Ooty. If you have less time, you can combine Day 1 and Day 2, and skip the Gymkhana Club and Droog Fort Trek on Day 3.
