Located near Calangute Beach, Fort Aguada is a 17th-century Portuguese fort that offers breathtaking views of the Arabian Sea. You can explore the fort, climb to the top of the lighthouse, and visit the nearby Church of St. Lawrence. If you have time, you can also visit the nearby Sinquerim Beach or Baga Beach.
Dudhsagar Falls is a four-tiered waterfall located on the Mandovi River. The falls are located inside a wildlife sanctuary and are surrounded by lush greenery. You can take a guided trek to the falls or take a dip in the natural pools below. The best time to visit is during monsoon season when the falls are in full flow.
The Basilica of Bom Jesus is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and is famous for containing the tomb of St. Francis Xavier. The church is located in Old Goa, which was once the capital of Portuguese India. After visiting the church, head to Dona Paula Beach for some fun in the sun. The beach is known for its tranquil waters and iconic Dona Paula statue.
Bondla Wildlife Sanctuary is a perfect place to experience the beauty of nature and to spot some exotic wildlife. The park is home to tigers, leopards, deer, and a variety of bird species. Take a nature walk, visit the mini zoo, or enjoy a picnic with your family. You can also visit the nearby Tambdi Surla Temple, which dates back to the 12th century.
For an additional day, you can visit the spice plantations or the Salim Ali Bird Sanctuary. If you have less time, consider skipping Dudhsagar Falls or Bondla Wildlife Sanctuary.
