Start your nature trip by visiting the Dudhsagar Falls, a four-tiered waterfall surrounded by lush greenery. Take a guided trek to reach the falls or hop on the railway tracks to get a glimpse of the falls while crossing the viaduct.
Spend the day amidst the lush greenery of the Mollem National Park. Take a jeep safari to explore the park's rich flora and fauna, including the Bengal tiger, Indian bison, and black panther. Also, don't miss the chance to take a refreshing dip in the park's natural water springs.
End your nature tour by visiting the Salim Ali Bird Sanctuary, named after the famous Indian ornithologist. Take a boat ride through the mangroves to spot a variety of bird species, including kingfisher, heron, and egret. You can also take a walk through the watchtower to witness panoramic scenes of the sanctuary.
If you have an extra day, head to the Bhagwan Mahaveer Wildlife Sanctuary near the Mollem National Park. But if you have less than three days, skip Mollem National Park and spend more time exploring the Dudhsagar Falls and Salim Ali Bird Sanctuary. Make sure to carry enough sunscreen, water, and insect repellent. And also plan your visit during the weekdays to avoid the weekend crowd.
