Spend the day at Ooty Lake, a serene spot that’s ideal for picnics. Situated amidst the Nilgiri Hills, the lake offers serene boat rides or a leisurely stroll around its banks. The picturesque scenery around the lake is breathtaking, and you can opt to explore the nearby Botanical Gardens or the lush green tea plantations and factories to learn more about tea production in the region.
The Doddabetta Peak is a must-visit spot. Standing tall at an elevation of 8,650 feet, it's the highest peak in the Nilgiri Hills. The views from the top are awe-inspiring, and the panoramic view of Ooty is breathtaking. The fresh air and lush greenery will immediately make you feel rejuvenated.
The serene and gorgeous Pykara Falls is a delightful surprise in Ooty. The waterfall cascades through multiple steps, creating many natural pools that you can take a dip in to relax in the fresh, cool waters. You may also sight herds of deer that gather around the riverbank and occasionally take a quick dip!
If you have an extra day, spend it exploring the beautiful tea plantations and tasting several tea flavors, such as green tea, white tea, black tea, and more. But, If you're running short on days, consider dropping the Pykara Falls as it can be combined with a visit to the Ooty Lake.
