Patnitop is a charming hill station with magnificent views of the Himalayas. Take a leisurely walk along the winding roads or trek through the pine forests. Visit the famous Nag Temple or indulge in some adventure activities such as zip-lining or paragliding. The hill station has excellent accommodations and local food. You can savor locally produced saffron or cherries and pick up some souvenirs at the local market.
If you have more time, you can visit the Vaishno Devi Temple, an important pilgrimage site. However, this is a more time-consuming trip requiring at least a full day's travel. If you have less time, you can skip Patnitop and spend a day at the Bahu Fort and Gardens, which is only a 1-hour (5.7 km) ride from Jammu. The fort dates back to the 18th century and houses a museum.
