Visit Pelling which is known for its stunning views of the Himalayan Range including Mt. Pandim, Mt. Kabru, and Mt. Sharu. Visit the landmark location, Pemyangtse Monastery, which is over 300 years old.
Venture to Yuksom, one of the oldest historical town which acts as a base camp to hike to the Khangchendzonga National Park. Visit the Kathok Wodsalin Gompa Monastery.
Return to Gangtok and see the Namgyal Institute of Tibetology, unique to Sikkim, exhibiting Tibetan culture and history. Take the Gangtok Ropeway for an overview of the entire city.
Add an extra day in Gangtok to visit the Tsongmo lake famous for its crystal-clear waters. And, if you have an extra day to spare, take a road trip to Darjeeling, a charming hill station known for its Tea plantations and the magnificent view of the Mt. Kanchenjunga.
