Start your day at Central Park, located in the heart of Almaty. Take a stroll through the garden and enjoy the beautiful nature and scenery. You can also rent a bike or have a picnic. Don't forget to try the famous kurt, a traditional dried cheese snack.
Head to Kok-Tobe Hill, the highest point in Almaty, via a cable car ride for a panoramic view of the city. Here, you can visit the Kok-Tobe Tower, souvenir shops, and a small amusement park. Be sure to catch puppet shows and concerts held here. Satisfy your hunger by trying the local cuisines at one of the many food stalls in the area.
For the final day, venture out to the Medeu Skating Rink and Ski Resort. The complex is sure to take your breath away with its scenic views and the beautiful ice rink, touted to be the highest and largest in the world. If you are visiting during summer, you can enjoy a hike instead of ice skating and enjoy the beautiful mountains and nature.
If you have more time, consider visiting the Shymbulak Ski Resort or the Charyn Canyon National Park. If you have less time, you could skip the Medeu Skating Rink or Kok-Tobe Hill. Also, be aware that the cable car ride to Kok-Tobe Hill can be crowded during peak tourist season. So, plan accordingly.
