Niagara Falls State Park is the oldest state park in the United States. With various attractions to visit, the park is much more than just a view of the falls. Start at the Observation Tower to take in breathtaking panoramic views of all the falls. Then head over to the Cave of the Winds, where you can get up close and personal with the Bridal Veil Falls and experience the power of the falls up close. End the day with a relaxing boat ride on the Maid of the Mist, where you will get up close and personal with Horseshoe Falls.
Explore the Niagara Wine Trail, featuring over 30 wineries and cideries nestled in the beautiful countryside. Start at Arrowhead Spring Vineyards, which offers both red and white wines, and make sure to try their Cabernet Franc. Next, head to Black Willow Winery to try their unique fruit wines, such as raspberry and blueberry. End the day at Liten Buffel Winery, a small family-owned winery known for their Pinot Noir and Chardonnay.
For those with more time, add a visit to the Niagara Falls Underground Railroad Heritage Center, which showcases the importance of Niagara Falls in the Underground Railroad. Another option is to explore Canadian side of the falls, which offers a different perspective and more views of the falls. For those with less time, skip the wine tour and add a visit to the Buffalo and Erie County Botanical Gardens, featuring some of the most exotic and diverse vegetation in the area.
