Thekkady is a nature lover's paradise, with its lush forests, spice plantations and wildlife. Take a boat ride or rafting trip on the Periyar River to observe the wildlife in their natural habitat. In the evening, attend a traditional Kathakali dance performance.
Alleppey is known for its serene backwaters and houseboat cruises. Board a houseboat and spend the day floating along the tranquil backwaters, passing by paddy fields, coconut groves and peaceful villages. Watch the sun set over the shimmering waters before retiring to your luxurious cabin.
Kovalam is a popular beach destination that offers a unique blend of relaxation and adventure. Take a morning dip in the Arabian Sea, then hike to the Halcyon Castle for stunning views of the coastline. After lunch, visit the Napier Museum to see a collection of bronze artefacts, ancient ornaments, and rare ivory carvings.
If you have more time, consider adding a visit to the beautiful Periyar National Park in Thekkady. If you have less time, you could skip Alleppey and head straight to Kovalam for an extra day at the beach. Keep in mind that many of the attractions in Kerala are closed on Mondays.
