Explore Vythiri in a Day

1. 9:00 AM: Lakkidi Viewpoint
   Located only 5.5 kilometers from Vythiri town center, Lakkidi Viewpoint offers a panoramic view of the valley. With the cool breeze and pleasant weather, it's a perfect start to your day.

   Don't forget to bring your camera to capture some breathtaking landscapes!

2. 11:00 AM: Pookode Lake
   A short drive from Lakkidi viewpoint, Pookode Lake is a natural freshwater lake surrounded by evergreen forests and rolling hills. Enjoy boating or take a stroll along its pathway that offers stunning views of the serene lake.

   There are also some souvenir and spice shops nearby where you can buy some amazing local items to take back home.

3. 1:00 PM: Lunch at ClayHut A Village Restaurant
   Located only 1.5 kilometers away from Pookode lake, ClayHut A Village Restaurant offers authentic Kerala cuisine in an ambiance that feels like a traditional village. Make sure you try their signature dishes like Puttu and Kadala Curry!

   The restaurant also has a small exhibition displaying ancient village lifestyle and a pottery center where you can try your hands on traditional pottery

4. 3:00 PM: Soochipara Waterfalls
   Located 22 kilometers away from the restaurant, Soochipara Waterfalls is a three-tiered waterfall surrounded by lush green forests. Take a refreshing dip in its natural pool, /zip line down its streams, or take a walk through the tea estate around the waterfall.

   Make sure you carry your swimwear and comfortable clothes for the adventure activities.

5. 6:00 PM: Back to Vythiri town
   The journey back to town is 14.5 kilometers long and takes approximately 40 minutes. You can either relax in your hotel or explore the beautiful town of Vythiri known for its scenic coffee and spice plantations.

Useful Tips

If you have more time, you can visit Banasura Sagar Dam or enjoy a scenic trek through the Chembra Peak. However, note that both places require half a day at minimum. If you have less time, you can either skip Soochipara Waterfalls or move lunch to earlier or later to save time.
