The fort overlooks the vast sea, and the view is breathtaking.

  2. Day 2: Exploring Churches and Forts
    Distance: 56 km (~1 hour and 30 minutes) from Baga beach

    Begin the day by visiting the beautiful Basilica of Bom Jesus in Old Goa. This UNESCO World Heritage Site is home to the mortal remains of St. Francis Xavier. The church is a fine example of Baroque architecture, and its grandeur is awe-inspiring. Next stop is the Mangueshi Temple, a famous Hindu temple devoted to Lord Shiva. Here, you can find exquisite architecture and peaceful surroundings. End the day with a visit to the Aguada Fort, the best-preserved Portuguese fort in Goa. The fort is situated near the beach, and the view from the top is incredible.

If you have less time and still want to explore the best of Goa, skip the Anjuna Flea Market. However, if you are a shopaholic, prioritize Anjuna Flea Market over Chapora Fort.
