Start your trip discovering the spiritual and cultural landmarks of Goa. The Basilica of Bom Jesus is a 16th-century church that holds the mortal remains of St. Francis Xavier. After this, head towards the Fort Aguada, which was built in the 17th century by the Portuguese. It gives a stunning view of the Arabian sea. You can also visit the Sinquerim beach, located nearby for some fun beach activities.
Enjoy a perfect family day out, soaking into the water at Splashdown Waterpark. It has a range of water rides and swimming pools for people of all ages. Later in the evening, visit the famous Calangute Beach, also known as the “Queen of Beaches”. Here you can enjoy water sports like parasailing and jet-skiing, shop for trinkets or simply watch the sunset.
Get ready to have some fun and relaxation at the Morjim Beach, also known as the “Turtle Beach”. It is a nesting site for Olive Ridley Sea Turtles. Here, visitors can sunbathe, swim or simply stroll around. On one side of the beach, there are many shacks which offer delicious seafood and drinks. In the evening, head towards Club LPK, a popular nightclub in Candolim. It is located by the Nerul River and known for its hip ambience and electrifying music.
Start your last day of the trip by visiting Dudhsagar Falls, a four-tiered waterfall located on the Mandovi River. It is one of the most beautiful natural sites in Goa. Take a dip in the crystal-clear water or trek to the waterfalls, keeping in mind that swimming is prohibited in the falls during monsoons. Later, drive down to the Bondla Wildlife Sanctuary, known for its exotic flora and fauna. Take a guided tour around the sanctuary, interact with the wildlife and enjoy a picnic with your family.
If you have more time, you can explore other famous beaches in North Goa like Anjuna, Vagator and Baga. If you have less time, you can skip Morjim Beach and Club LPK. Make sure to wear comfortable footwear and carry sunscreen and a water bottle on your trips. Avoid visiting Dudhsagar Falls during monsoons as they are closed to visitors. You can also rent a bike or car to explore on your own or hire a local cab for a convenient ride.
