Begin your Ravello journey by visiting the iconic Villa Cimbrone. It is a beautiful 14th century villa surrounded by lush gardens and stunning views. Spend the morning here soaking up the history and enjoying the beautiful views. After visiting the villa you can take a walk along the Ravello City Walk to enjoy the beautiful medieval town's architecture.
Take a scenic and memorable drive along the Amalfi Coast, one of the most picturesque coastal drives in Italy. With stops in pretty villages such as Minori and Maiori, overlooking cloud-topped headlands, you'll make your way down towards Amalfi pass through Praiano and Positano, two of the most amazing villages on the coast. Visit the Amalfi Cathedral, a 9th-century Roman Catholic Cathedral, to take in the views of a beautiful medieval building before going back to Ravello to have dinner in one of its numerous genuine restaurants.
Spend a morning exploring the incredible excavations of Ancient Pompeii. This Roman city was decimated by a volcanic eruption of Mount Vesuvius in AD79 and was rediscovered in the mid-18th century. A vast open-air museum, with buildings, homes, baths, and streets laid out as they were 2,000 years ago, brings you back into the past. This is a fascinating experience that takes around three hours to enjoy thoroughly. After your visit to the ruins, you can stop by one of the local restaurants to enjoy traditional Campania dishes.
If you have more time, add a boat tour. You can take the ferry from Amalfi to Positano to Capri and return. If you have less time, cut out your visit to Ancient Pompeii and take a shorter drive along the Amalfi Coast. In Ravello, stick to the City Walk only.
