4-Day Nature Itinerary in Shimla

  1. Day 1: The Ridge and Mall Road
    Walking distance (0.7 miles) from most hotels in central Shimla

    Begin your trip at the Ridge, a wide-open street lined with stunning neo-gothic architecture on both sides. Enjoy the stunning views of the Himalayas and stroll down to the Mall Road afterwards, lined with shops, restaurants and cafes. Don't miss the Christ Church and Scandal Point while savoring a cup of hot coffee and a pastry from a cafe.

  2. Day 2: Kufri
    30 minutes (10 miles) from central Shimla

    Travel to the peaceful town of Kufri, surrounded by dense forests and snow-capped mountains. Opt for a horseback ride to explore Kufri's surroundings or take a lift ride to Mahasu Peak for panoramic views of the Himalayas. End the day back in Shimla.

  4. Day 4: Shimla Waterfalls and Jakhu Temple
    20 minutes (4 miles) from central Shimla

    Begin the day with a visit to Chadwick Falls, a scenic waterfall plunged from a height of 1586 meters, an ideal spot for nature lovers and photo enthusiasts. Drive up to the Jakhu Temple, appearing to be a pandora's box for those with a keen interest in nature, religion, and history. Apart from being a religious attraction, it is also famous for its massive statue of Lord Hanuman and breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains.
