Three Days in Shimla: A Nature Lover's Itinerary

  1. Day 1: The Ridge

    The Ridge is a large open space located in the heart of Shimla and surrounded by nature. Take a stroll here and soak in the views of the Himalayan Mountains and the lush greenery that surrounds it. The Ridge is also home to iconic landmarks such as the Christ Church and the Scandal Point, which make for great photo opportunities.

  2. Day 2: Chadwick Falls

    Chadwick Falls is a beautiful waterfall surrounded by deodar trees. The walk from the parking lot to the falls is quite scenic and takes around 20 minutes. The view of the water cascading down the rocks is mesmerizing. You can also hike up to the top for a different view of the falls.

  3. Day 3: Kufri
    1 hour 20 mins (19 km) from Chadwick Falls

    Kufri is a small mountain village located above Shimla. The drive to Kufri is incredibly scenic and is one of the main highlights of the trip. Once you arrive in Kufri, you can visit the Himalayan Nature Park, where you can see snow leopards and other endangered animals, go skiing in the winter months or visit the Mahasu Peak for stunning views of the valley below.

You can visit the Viceregal Lodge, which was once the summer residence of the British viceroys in India, or take a walk on the Mall Road, which is a popular shopping destination for tourists.
