Visit the Vaishno Devi shrine located in the Trikuta Mountains. The temple is dedicated to the Hindu Goddess, Vaishno Devi. The shrine is considered one of the holiest places in India. Visitors must make a 12-kilometer trek from the base of the mountain to reach the shrine. Alternatively, you can hire ponies or a helicopter to reach the temple. The entire trek will take approximately 6-9 hours. The views of the mountains are breathtaking. Once at the temple, visitors should attend the aarti ceremony. Make sure to carry enough water, snacks and a comfortable pair of shoes for the trek.
Explore the city of Jammu, also known as the "City of Temples." Start with a visit to the Bahu Fort and Garden located on the banks of the Tawi River, it offers a panoramic view of the city. Then head to the Raghunath Temple complex, which houses several Hindu deities, including Lord Rama and Lord Shiva. Devotees gather here to offer their prayers.
