Family-Friendly 5-Day Itinerary for Kedharnath

  1. Day 1: Kedarnath Temple

  2. Day 2: Vasuki Tal

    Take a trek to Vasuki Tal, a beautiful lake surrounded by snow-covered peaks. On the way, you'll come across a waterfall and pass through forests of rhododendrons.

  3. Day 3: Gandhi Sarovar
    11.1 km (4.5 hours) from Vasuki Tal

    Visit Gandhi Sarovar, a glacial lake named after Mahatma Gandhi. The lake offers stunning views of the surrounding Himalayan peaks.

  4. Day 4: Sonprayag
    20 km (1 hour) from Kedarnath Temple

    Visit Sonprayag and take a dip in the holy waters of River Mandakini. The place is famous for the confluence of three rivers - Mandakini, Basuki, and Kedar Ganga.

  5. Day 5: Gauri Kund
    21.1 km (1 hour) from Sonprayag

    Visit Gauri Kund, a sacred spot where Lord Shiva and Parvati are believed to have taken a bath before getting married. You can take a dip in the hot springs and also visit the Gauri Devi temple.
