Start your Wayanad trip with a visit to Meenmutty Falls, a magnificent waterfall located in the lush green forests of Wayanad. After a half-kilometer trek in the forest, you'll be mesmerized by the stunning beauty of the three-tier waterfall that plunges over 800 feet. You can even take a dip in the pool at the base of the falls.
Spend your second day in Wayanad at Banasura Sagar Dam, the largest earth dam in India, surrounded by breathtaking natural beauty. You can take a paddle boat ride on the dam’s lake, trek to the beautiful hills nearby, and enjoy the view of the Banasura Sagar mountain ranges.
On your final day, visit the Tholpetty Wildlife Sanctuary, a part of the largest wildlife reserve in Kerala. Embark on a guided jeep safari through the dense forest, home to the majestic Bengal tigers, Indian bison, elephants, and numerous species of birds. Witness these animals in their natural habitat, an experience that is not to be missed.
If you have an extra day, you can visit the Chembra Peak, Wayanad's highest mountain peak, located around 16km from Kalpetta.
If you have less time, you can skip the Banasura Sagar dam and visit the Soochipara falls, which is around 22 km from Kalpetta.
