On the first day, stroll around the vibrant town of Munnar. Visit the Munnar Tea Museum to learn about the history of tea production in the area. Explore the adventurous side of Munnar. Start early in the morning and trek to the Top Station View Point, which offers breathtaking views of the surrounding hills and valleys. On the way back, stop at the Elephant Arrival Spot to see elephants in their natural habitat. Next, visit the enchanting Attukad Waterfalls, where you can take a refreshing dip in the cool waters.
On day three, take a visit to the Eravikulam National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage site and home to endangered species such as the Nilgiri Tahr. Continue to the Chinnar Wildlife Sanctuary, located in the rain shadow region of the Western Ghats. Take a jeep safari to witness the unique flora and fauna of the sanctuary, including deer, leopards, and Indian gaurs. End the day with a visit to Marayoor Sandalwood Forests, where you can see sandalwood trees and ancient dolmens.
On the final day, head to the lush Kolukkumalai Tea Estate, located at an altitude of 8,000 feet above sea level. Take a guided tour of the tea factory and enjoy tea tasting while enjoying the panoramic views of the Western Ghats. Afterward, head to Lockhart Tea Museum to see the history of tea plantation in Kerala. Finally, relax your mind and soul with an Ayurvedic massage at Munnar Spa before you head back home.
If you have more time, visit the Mattupetty Dam and the nearby Echo Point. For adventure enthusiasts, take a Monsoon Safari at the Chokramudi Peak.
