The Basilica of Bom Jesus is a UNESCO World Heritage site and is one of the oldest churches in India. It is famous for housing the mortal remains of St. Francis Xavier. The architecture and interiors are a beautiful blend of Baroque and Corinthian styles. The church is open every day from 9 AM to 6:30 PM.
Fort Aguada is a 17th-century fort constructed by the Portuguese. The fort stands majestically on Sinquerim Beach and offers breathtaking views of the Arabian Sea. The lighthouse and the underground water storage tanks are popular attractions within the fort. The fort is open from 9 AM to 6 PM every day.
Dudhsagar Falls is a four-tiered waterfall that cascades down from a height of 310 meters. It is known for its milky white appearance due to the force of the water falling from such a great height. The waterfall is located inside the Bhagwan Mahaveer Sanctuary and Mollem National Park. The best time to visit is during the monsoon season from June to September. The waterfall is open from 9 AM to 5 PM every day.
If you have more time, consider visiting the beaches of North Goa such as Baga, Anjuna and Calangute. If you have less time, skip Dudhsagar Falls and spend more time exploring the historical sites of Old Goa such as Se Cathedral and Church of St Francis of Assisi.
