The water cascading from a height of 270 feet and flows through a dense forest which enhances the beauty of the waterfall. You can enjoy trekking and bird watching in the surrounding areas. The park is open from 5 AM to 6 PM, but the waterfall is closed during monsoons (June-September).
Sri Padmavathi Ammavari Temple is dedicated to the Goddess Padmavati and is situated in the Tiruchanur town of Andhra Pradesh. It is believed that Goddess Lakshmi, the consort of Lord Venkateswara, took birth as Padmavati and married Lord Venkateswara at this temple. The temple has beautiful architecture with intricate carvings and sculptures. You can also witness the daily sevas performed here. The temple is open from 5 AM to 9 PM.
If you have more time, you can visit other places like Chandragiri Fort, Kapila Theertham, and Kalyani Dam. If you have less time, you can skip Talakona Waterfall and dedicate more time to other places. Make sure to wear comfortable clothes and footwear as the temple premises and trekking at Talakona can be tiring.
