Spend your first day in Haridwar by relaxing and taking a dip in the Ganges River, one of the most important and sacred places for Hindus. The river is surrounded by beautiful scenery, and there are several ghats where you can take a dip in the holy water. Don't forget to visit the Har Ki Pauri Ghat, which is believed to be the place where Lord Vishnu left his footprint. End your day with the evening Ganga Aarti where you can witness the splendid devotion ceremony.
Day 2 is all about exploring the spiritual side of Haridwar. Start your morning with an early visit to one of the many Yoga and Ayurvedic centers nestled in the city. Take a stroll down the Haridwar-Rishikesh Road, and visit ashrams like Ramkrishna Math & Mission and Bharat Mata Mandir. After that, enjoy a peaceful walk in the tranquil Laxman Jhula which is a suspension bridge through the gushing waters of Ganges River.
Start Day 3 by taking the Mansa Devi Cable Car to the Mansa Devi Temple which is one of the most popular temples in Haridwar. The temple is dedicated to Goddess Mansa, and you can see a panoramic view of the city from the cable car. Visit the Chandi Devi Temple, located on top of a mountain. On your way back, take a stroll in the Haridwar Bazaar which is a paradise for souvenir shopping.
If you have additional time in Haridwar, you can explore other nearby attractions like the Rajaji National Park, Neel Dhara Pakshi Vihar, or take a day trip to nearby Rishikesh. However, if you have less time in the city, you can skip visiting either Laxman Jhula or Bharat Mata Mandir.
