10-Day Family-Friendly Char Dham Yatra Itinerary

  1. Day 1: Haridwar
    3 hours 30 minutes (147 km) from Dehradun Airport

    Begin your spiritual journey by visiting Har Ki Pauri for Ganga Aarti, followed by a visit to Mansa Devi Temple and Chandi Devi Temple.

  2. Day 2: Barkot
    6 hours (155 km) from Haridwar

    Visit Kempty Falls en route to Barkot. Reach Barkot by evening and rest, getting ready for the journey to Yamunotri the next day.

  3. Day 3: Yamunotri
    2 hours (46 km) from Barkot

    Visit the temple of Yamunotri after a trek of 6 km along the river. Take a dip in the hot water spring of Janki Chatti.

  4. Day 4: Uttarkashi
    4 hours (130 km) from Yamunotri

    Enjoy the scenic drive to Uttarkashi. Stop by the Vishwanath Temple and witness the Ganga Aarti in the evening at the Manikarnika Ghat.

  5. Day 5: Gangotri

    Visit the Gangotri temple. Take a dip in the icy-cold water of the holy Ganges at Bhairon Ghat. Witness the beauty of the Bhagirathi River on the way back to Uttarkashi.

    Travel to Guptkashi, stopping at the scenic Tehri Dam en route. Rest in Guptkashi, getting ready for the journey to Kedarnath the next day.

  7. Day 7: Kedarnath

    Visit the temple of Kedarnath after an uphill trek of 16 km, either by foot, horse, or helicopter. Stay overnight in Kedarnath.

  8. Day 8: Badrinath

    Visit the Narsingh Temple and the Shankracharya Math in Joshimath before heading to Rudraprayag. Stop by Karanprayag, the confluence of the rivers Alaknanda and Pindar, en route.

  10. Day 10: Rishikesh

    Travel to Rishikesh, the Yoga Capital of the world. Visit the Triveni Ghat for Ganga Aarti, take a dip in the holy river, and walk on the iconic Lakshman Jhula bridge.

Useful Tips
