Located at an altitude of 3,753 meters, Tsomgo Lake is a glacial lake surrounded by majestic mountains and abundant wildflowers. It freezes during winter, but visitors can enjoy yak rides and snowball fights.
If you have more time, you can visit Pelling to see the Kanchenjunga Range or Ravangla to experience the tea gardens. If you have less time, you can skip Yumthang Valley and visit Rumtek Monastery instead. Bring warm clothing as the temperatures can drop significantly at higher altitudes.
