Start your trip by exploring the historic city of Old Goa, a UNESCO World Heritage Site filled with beautiful churches and monuments. Visit the Basilica of Bom Jesus, a 16th-century church home to the remains of St. Francis Xavier. The Se Cathedral, one of the largest churches in Asia, is another must-visit attraction. End your day with a scenic sunset cruise on the Mandovi River.
Spend the day in the charming city of Panaji, the capital of Goa. Discover the city's Portuguese colonial heritage through its architecture, cuisine and culture. Walk the colorful streets of the Latin Quarter of Fontainhas and visit the Immaculate Conception Church, a famous landmark of Panaji. Don't forget to try some authentic Goan cuisine at one of the city's many restaurants.
Head to the beautiful Calangute Beach, the largest and most popular beach in Goa. Enjoy the sun, sand, and sea by indulging in water sports, swimming, and sunbathing. Take a stroll on the bustling beachside promenade and try some delicious street food from the vendors. End your day with a relaxing Ayurvedic massage at one of the beachside spas.
Finish your trip with a visit to the Dudhsagar Falls, a magnificent waterfall nestled in the Western Ghats mountain range. Take a jeep ride to the base of the falls, hike to the top or take a dip in the natural pool. Don't forget to stop by the lush spice plantations on your way back to explore some of Goa's rich flora.
If you have more time, add a day trip to the spice plantations or visit the Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception Church in Panaji. If you have less time, skip the Dudhsagar Falls trip and spend an extra day exploring the beaches of North Goa. Don't forget to pack sunscreen, hats, and comfortable shoes as there's a lot of walking involved.
