Nature Lover's 3-Day Itinerary from Tirunelveli to Goa

  1. Day 1: Dandeli Wildlife Sanctuary

    The Dandeli Wildlife Sanctuary is a must-visit for nature enthusiasts. Sprawled across 834 sq km, this wildlife sanctuary is home to tigers, elephants, black panthers, and a variety of other animals. While the sanctuary is open all year round, it's best to visit from October to February.

    Make an early start for the spectacular Dudhsagar Waterfalls, which straddle the border between Goa and Karnataka. The 4-tiered waterfall, which cascades down from a height of 310m, is a sight to behold, especially during the monsoon season when it's in full flow. You can trek up to the base of the waterfall, take a dip in the pool, and explore the surrounding forests. The falls are closed during the monsoon season, so plan your visit between October to May.

  3. Day 3: Cotigao Wildlife Sanctuary

    Rounding off your nature-filled itinerary is the Cotigao Wildlife Sanctuary, which is one of the smallest wildlife sanctuaries in Goa but boasts an impressive biodiversity. Spanning 86 sq km, the sanctuary is home to endemic birds, primates, and other species of flora and fauna. You can take a guided tour to explore the sanctuary and spot some exotic wildlife, hike up the trails, or have a picnic in the serene surroundings. The best time to visit is between November to March.
