To get around the island, visitors can rent a car, take a taxi or use a bicycle. Public transportation is not available on the island. The cost of renting a car is approximately $50-80 per day. Taxis are readily available but can be expensive. Bicycles can be rented for $15-20 per day. Travel time varies depending on the destination but most places can be reached within 20 minutes.
If you have more time, consider taking a day trip to some of the smaller islands around Turks and Caicos like Pine Cay, Middle Caicos or North Caicos. You can also take a boat ride to see humpback whales or enjoy some snorkeling at different reefs. If you have less time, consider visiting fewer places per day so you can enjoy each activity more extensively.
The Providenciales International Airport (PLS) is the main airport in Turks and Caicos. It is located in Providenciales, just a 10-minute drive from Grace Bay.
