    The City of Arts and Sciences is a futuristic complex that includes museums, galleries, and theaters. The buildings are all modern and stunning. The Hemisferic is a planetarium, laserium and IMAX cinema with an amazing architecture worth seeing. The other buildings include Parque Oceanografico, Prince Felipe Museum of Science and L'Hemisfèric with its concave roof.
  • Central Market - 11:30am
    The Central Market in Valencia is one of the largest markets in Europe. The building itself is impressive, designed in the Art Nouveau style. Inside you can find many different vendors selling fresh produce, seafood, meats, and much more. Don't forget to stop at one of the food stalls to try some traditional Valencian dishes!
  • Cathedral of Valencia - 1:00pm
    The Cathedral of Valencia, also named the Seu, is an impressive Gothic style building that dates back to the 13th century. The cathedral combines different architectural styles, which makes it unique. Climb the tower to get an incredible view of the city and visit the Holy Grail Chapel.
  • Plaza de la Virgen - 3:00pm
    Plaza de la Virgen is the central square in Valencia. The square is surrounded by several important buildings, including the Cathedral, the Basilica of Our Lady of the Forsaken and the Palace of the Generalitat of Valencia. It is a great place to relax and take pictures.
  • Turia Gardens - 5:00pm
    Turia Gardens is a park that sits in the middle of Valencia city. It was created in the dry riverbed of the Turia river after the river was rerouted. The Gardens offers a peaceful break from the city and is a perfect spot for a walk or picnic.

Transportation

Valencia city center is easily walkable. If you need transportation, there are buses and taxis available with typical costs of €1-3 for a bus ride and €5-10 for a taxi ride. Cycling is another great way to get around the city, and there are many bike rental shops available.

Useful Tips

If you have more time, consider adding a visit to the Arts and Science Museum, the Mercado de Colon, or a trip to the beach. If you have less time, skip the Turia Gardens and visit the National Museum of Ceramics instead. Don't forget to try some of the local delicacies in one of the city's many restaurants.
