Transportation

Cozumel is a small island, so the best way to get around is by taxi or scooter. Taxis are easy to find and a trip from one end of the island to the other will cost around $20. Scooters rentals are also available and can be a fun way to explore the island, but make sure to wear a helmet and be cautious on the roads. It is also possible to rent a car, but parking can be limited in some areas.

Useful Tips

If you have more time, consider adding a visit to Punta Sur Eco Beach Park, the Cozumel Museum or the Discover Mexico Park. For a more laid-back experience, spend more time at Chankanaab Beach or book a massage at one of the beachside palapas. If you have less time, skip the shopping at Plaza del Sol and head straight to Casa Mission for an early dinner. Don't forget to bring sunscreen, insect repellent and comfortable walking shoes!

Airports

Cozumel International Airport (CZM) is the main airport serving the island, located just a few kilometers from the city center. It handles both international and domestic flights, and offers connections to major Mexican cities and some U.S. destinations. Taxi and shuttle services are available for transport from the airport to your hotel or the city center.
