It is recommended to walk to most attractions in Ketchikan's historic downtown. Taxis are available for hire, but they are relatively expensive. Public transportation is also available and is a budget-friendly way to get around. Rideshare is not available in Ketchikan.
If you have more time, you can extend your visit at the Tongass Historical Museum or take a walk to the Totem Heritage Center to see Ketchikan's rich native heritage. You can also extend your scenic flight to land on a glacier or visit the famous New Eddystone Rock. If you have less time, skip the scenic flight, and spend more time exploring the town and its shops or dine at The Alaska Fish House.
Ketchikan International Airport (KTN) is just a few miles from the downtown area, and it serves as a hub for Alaska Airlines, Delta Air Lines, and Taquan Air.
