Exploring Nature in Matheran: 3-Day Itinerary

1. Day 1: Charlotte Lake
   Located at a distance of 3.5 km from Matheran Railway Station (20-minute walk or a 10-minute horse ride).

   Charlotte Lake is a beautiful picnic spot that provides a serene atmosphere for relaxing. The lake is surrounded by greenery and a delightful walking pathway.

2. Day 2: Louisa Point, One Tree Hill, and Mount Barry
   Start with Louisa Point which is a 30-minute walk or a 15-minute horse ride from Matheran Railway Station, then proceed to One Tree Hill (20-minute walk), and finally reach Mount Barry (a 15-minute walk from One Tree Hill).

   Louisa Point offers a spectacular view of the historic Vishalgad and Prabalgad forts and has many beautiful viewpoints, waterfalls, and scenic landscapes. One Tree Hill is a great viewpoint to take in the beauty of the entire valley. Mount Barry is a favorite place among trekkers and nature enthusiasts. All three places are famous for their splendid views and beautiful sunset points.

3. Day 3: Garbett Point and Rambagh Point
   Start with Garbett Point which is a 5 km walk from Bhivpuri Road Railway Station. Next, visit Rambagh Point which is a 30-minute walk from Garbett Point.

   Garbett Point is known for its amazing sunrise and sunset views. It is a popular trekking spot and is surrounded by dense forest. Rambagh Point is famous for its majestic views of the valley and the beautiful Neral town. Both locations provide a tranquil and refreshing atmosphere away from the hustle and bustle of the city.

Useful Tips

If you have more time, you can visit other points such as Panorama Point, Matheran Hill Station, and Echo Point. These places provide stunning panoramic views of the valley and the surrounding mountains. For adventure enthusiasts, trekking to Peb Fort and Karnala Fort is highly recommended. On the other hand, if you have less time, you can remove one or two points from the itinerary, but we highly recommend Charlotte Lake, Louisa Point, and Garbett Point as must-visit spots.
