One of the most popular beaches in Goa, this sandy stretch is perfect for sunbathing or swimming. You can also indulge in adventurous activities such as jet skiing, banana boat rides and parasailing. There are many shacks and restaurants near the beach where you can get delicious seafood.
This majestic waterfall is an ideal spot for nature lovers. It is one of the tallest waterfalls in India, and the white water cascading down from a height of 310 meters is a remarkable sight. You can swim in the pool of water at the bottom or trek in the surrounding forests.
Constructed in 1612, this Portuguese fort is a well-preserved monument in Goa. The fort is situated on a hilltop overlooking the Arabian Sea and the Mandovi River. The 13-meter high lighthouse at the fort is a must-visit spot here.
A UNESCO World Heritage Site, this 16th-century church is a classic example of Baroque architecture in Goa. The church contains the remains of St. Francis Xavier and is considered the finest example of Jesuit architecture in India.
For those with more time, you can also visit other beaches such as Baga Beach, Anjuna Beach, and Candolim Beach. If you have less time, you can visit the Ancestral Goa Museum or the Museum of Christian Art instead of Fort Aguada. Avoid visiting during the monsoon season (June to September) as many locations may be unsafe and closed due to heavy rains.
